Common Reporting Standard (CRS)

The Common Reporting Standard (CRS) is a co-ordinated global approach to the disclosure of financial account information in respect of individuals and organisations in order to fight tax avoidance. The CRS requires financial institutions (FIs), including Core Credit Union Limited, to review and collect information to identify the country of tax residence of an account holder and then provide certain account information to the Irish Revenue Commissioners (revenue).
